on friendships

One of my best friends told me that I was crazy for getting rid of my facebook two years ago. I think he said something along the lines of, you compile all these 300+ friends because hey, one day you might need something from them, like a job connection maybe. In the end, these aren't really friends are they? They're just acquaintances with resources.

So when are you a genuine friend or just another resource? Or, can you be both?

My mom has always told me, a great friendship, the ones that last are the ones where each friend gives just as much as the other. This is where my dilemma begins and I question the friendships I have in my life.

I feel like sometimes when starting a new friendship, you ask yourself what the real motives are. It seems a little selfish and petty of me to question an innocent-enough, truly great connection with someone new. I felt a little high school when I was thinking about this but hey when you're 22 and busy busy busy, you seriously have to weed out the leeches from your life right? I don't have to remind anyone that friendships are different from when you were 16. You don't care if someone doesn't like you anymore, you have far more important things to stress about like how you're going to pay rent next month.

Then there's the whole fucking black hole of a mess of a true friendship between a girl and a guy. WTF. Don't even get me started. Yes, I think it can exist but there are serious strings attached, there should be universal rules posted somewhere so people know what a friendship is people!

Bleh, I don't even know where I'm going with this. I just needed to get my thoughts out. And plus, I really love that picture of Lady and Eli-jjah so I had to use it for something ha. Oh and I wanted to write in my abandoned blog again.... ...

  1. I agree too. I wiped out many "acquaintances" in my Facebook and just have friends that I actually talk to and would want to connect with their life.

  4. You also need to be very poignant as to what you're speaking about. This means directness is required in telling a customer exactly how they will benefit by following your link.play bazaar satta king

  5. Getting your family involved in juicing can make it easier and fun as well. Children can wash the produce before the adults slice and dice it.
